After 12 singles, this is my first foray into what was my favorite format growing up, the EP. This 4 track collection is my most important work to date.
'Mach 1’ is a melancholic elegy to a loved one no longer within reach. Obviously I had someone specific in mind, but there's no need for me to brand that into your own interpretation of this song.
A sparky ‘Sub Rosa’ examines the shadowy nature of ubiquitous power, a key lyric for me being “Honour is only forged among the good souls”.
The stripped down acoustic performance of ‘Thaw’, a song that has long been a staple of my live shows, speaks to the determination of recovering from a scarring rejection from the music industry as a young(er) man.
The EP closes with the self-effacing ‘Deserter’. Lyrically, this flagellating slap-down of my own shortcomings as a friend juxtaposes with the rousing nature of the music.

It would be remiss of me not to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the wonderful support for my last release, ‘When The Streets Fall Silent’, which seemed to resonate with a lot of people. And thank you all for taking an interest in my music during 2024. I truly hope to bring even more to the table this year.
